Preparations

Kit Unboxing

The kit unboxing is to be performed only by a certified electrician followed by a visual check for any damaged/ broken parts. In case of any damage, contact EV Meter support.

    1. Unbox the charging station kit.
    2. Make sure two circuit breakers and two MCBs are installed in the electrical panel, according to the following table:

        1. Insert each cable from the circuit brakers into a flexible N2XY 5X6 mm² cable. Make sure the cables are long enough to reach the charging station.
        2. Turn off the charger power using the circuit breakers.
        3. Using a voltmeter or any equivalent device, make sure that all the power to the charger is turned off.

          NOTICE

          notice

          To provide quick power off, in case of emergency or maintenance, install an emergency switch, according to the local regulations and the power input to the charging station.

          EV Meter recommend installing an emergency switch specifically for the charging station, next to the charging station.

           

           

           

          Installation Overview

          Installation Conditions

          The installation must be performed in dry conditions.

          The installation process includes the following steps:

          1. Charger Wall Mounting Bracket Installation
          2. Charger Mounting
          3. Electrical panel Power Cable Connection.
          4. Charger Assembly

           

           

           

          Charger Wall Mounting Bracket Installation

            1. Open the front cover of the charger.
            2. Disconnect the harness connected between the charger and the front cover.
            3. Remove the front cover from the charger.
            4. Remove the wall mounting bracket from the back of the charger.
            5. Place the wall mounting bracket on the wall.
            6. Using a drill, drill four holes, according to the holes placement in the charger’s wall mounting bracket.
            7. Using a hammer, hammer four dowels into the holes.
            8. Using a screwdriver, screw four M10 screws, and nuts, secure the wall mounting bracket.
            9. The wall mounting bracket is attached to the wall.

              Charger Mounting

                1. Align the sockets on the charger with the anchors on the charger wall mounting bracket.
                2. Place the charger on the wall mounting bracket.
                3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, install two Phillips screws on the bottom of the charger, to secure the charger to the charger wall mounting bracket.

                  Electrical Panel Power Cable Connection

                  Cable Placement

                  Make sure the cable is not placed in the way of any pedestrians, vehicles, or objects.

                    1. Loosen the two cable glands on the bottom of the charger.
                    2. Insert the 5X6 mm² cables trough the cable glands.
                    3. Using a Phillips bit, release the Phillips screws of the charger MCBs.
                    4. Connect the L1, L2, L3 cables to the charger MCBs according to the following diagram.
                    5. Using Phillips bit tighten the charger MCBs screws to secure the cables.
                    6. Using flat bit, release the screws of the neutral cable connectors on the charger MCBs.
                    7. Connect the neutral cables according to the following diagram.
                    8. Using a flat bit, tighten the neutral connectors’ screws to secure the cables.
                    9. Using Allen bits, release the Allen screws of the grounding branch point.
                    10. Connect the grounding cables to the grounding branch point.
                    11. Using Allen bits, tighten the Allen screws to secure the cables.
                    12. tighten the two cable glands on the bottom of the charger.
                    13. Switch on the two charger MCBs.
                      Electrical Connection

                       

                       

                      Charger Assembly

                        1. Connect the charger cover’s harness to the charger harness according to the following figure.

                           

                            1. Place the charger cover on the charger.
                            2. make sure the charger cover is fitted in the charger’s socket.
                            3. Using an Allen bit screw 10 M4×10 Allen screws to secure the charger cover to the charger.
                            4. By hand force, install the front frame.
